So, how many of you value the demo section? Well, if you do, then you post demo levels. However, do people actually give feedback? Barely, is what I would say. Let's take a look: It seems that NIN*MASA is like the ONLY person who has actually gave the demo levels section huge life support, but now it wore off. Recent levels have been posted, but barely any feedback from them.

So, what do we do? I say we delete the demo levels section. It'll make the Games Forum a bit smaller, and even if we do, we could still send demo levels in PMs to friends and enemies to get more attention to one person. Think about this idea

i agree. just PM the level to someone if you want it tested, and get rid of the demo levels section.

I agree nobody has used this section in a while so I vote yes.

unlocked, it isnt gone isnt it? I think it should stay, it gives users a place to post levels and setup a concept, if they wana test levels they can pm them but whats the negatives of the demo's? Seriously, if it has no negatives then why delete it. As those very few positives of it will then TURN into negatives

umm i kinda agree with STD(my nickname for stup man) but i dont really understand how he said it. heres my say.(the say that counts)

i couldnt really decide what my decision was on this for a little while but ive come to my conclusion that it stays. reason being: i personally like posting my unfinished levels in the demo section because even if people dont rate them peole still view them. everyone who post there demo knows that. what im saying here is that even though if i put a level in demos it dosnt get rated im glad its still getting viiews. plus would you rather could a pm with a code or a pm with a link to the demo?

what im saying is the demo section really dosnt take up much space like STD said. And there are benefits of it like getting your level out there when your halway through your level that way you feel more accomplished and that way you can get some feedback.just because people arent rating the levels that much is no reason to delete it. let me ask you this if people stop rating the smf complete levels in uml would we delete uml?

It's inactive. Not many people post there. I support the removal of it. If you want your level tested, PM someone. Simple.

i actually changed my mind

i have a level in demo levels right now.

dont get rid of it please

i will definitely say keep it, why?, because it's a good way to get feedback for levels, whether they are complete or not

Great Level Maker admin: i make great levels, along with the power to promote others that make great levels, if u wish to help me with my job you can refer me to users that make good levels (don't refer yourself though, then it's desperate)
Moderator Admin: until further notice admins are the mod admins, we will think about promotions if you apply
Level Rater: my rates count as 2, feel free to ask me to rate something
Registered User: i'm a user, thats about it

if your going to have a demo level section, make it more noticable.
personally, i think you guys should get a guest UML, so that newbies can get a feel for the forums

with demo levles section, everybody can help it improve, and look forward to a rate rather than having it meet only one or two peoples expectations.

It's useless clutter. It has a total of 38 topics, almost all of which are outdated, and it gets about one post every six days. There is not reason to have it when you can just PM someone.

no. dont delete it.

36, i like icecream and carmel too, but im not gonna eat it if the demo levels section is deleted(so take it back if you want it, before i change my mind)

although some things are outdated, and it isnt used much, it is still used, and therefore not worthless.

as i said before, it benefits the level rates once the level is finished.

it shouldnt be deleted.

I'm posting all my Sky Forest demos. I just have to work on it. And, if you are reading this, give the demo levels a second chance. If you can give feedback, you can get ready for a rate on that level based on how good it is right now.

I say don't delete the demo section.

I say keep it, if you were to pm your demo's then you won't get as much feedback as posting it worldwide. If i pm'd a demo to someone then i'll only get one response, if i post it, then everyone who has something to say will respond.

Hey, about 80% of the people who post in the demo levels barely even GET any feedback at all. Look at my demo levels: Only 1 person of each level posted. Look at Stupendous Man's "Corrupted Earth". Also, you can send multiple PMs of the level, it really isn't that difficult.



Dud, the first chance we're giving the demo levels has lasted from the start of sethforum to now. That's enough to be MORE than 5 chances we've been giving the demo levels, but no one has really tooken any action for the removal of it. Yes, you can give feedback, but the question is, how many people will actually bother to give you feedback in the demo levels section? It would be a lot more noticeable to one person if you're PM'ing that particular person (and more if you would like more feedback).



You should really ask yourself if the demo levels is used enough, not if it's still used by like the same 3 people who keeps the demo levels section on life support.

I don't get why a lot of you keep saying that demo levels do this and that when PMs can obviously do the same.

I'm not saying that. I don't care if the demo section is deleted or not. I'm saying people can look forward on what to see in the actual level. Even though I do have Sky Forest in there, I wouldn't mind the demo section deleted. Besides, you have a point, and you don't have to send it to 1 person. I don't care if the demo section gets deleted or not.
