There technically is a ninth Mario Party game. It's just not named as such.
I can't imagine a new Mario Party happening in the future. The ideas are all used up and tired by now. Unless there's a big addition to the series and fresh and unique minigames, I wouldn't look forward to another game, and I'd be just fine playing Mario Party 3.

History says another Mario Party game would spell disappointment for an already tanking series. >_>

Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan, but I haven't seen a quality Mario Party game in some time. Just my opinion.

I have heard rumors that MP9 was released, but I have never seen it, so I don't believe it XP

What about MPX?

I haven't even heard rumors about MP9 yet. Might take a while

I hope Mario Party 9 is better than all the other mario parties

it would be a big improvement if they had a board editor

but making a board editor will be like impossible

Don't Worry Guys. Wii Party (Made By the Staff WHO CREATED MARIO PARTY) Is The Last Thing we Have Of Mario Party. Now, If Wii Party Fails In Sales, I'm Sure We'll See Another Mario Party Game. If It Succeeds. no More Mario party. The Last Of The Staff Gives Us: Wii Party. Some People Are Boycotting The Game (Probably They Just Won't Buy It) And If We Get A Loud Enough Voice, Mario Party Might Be Back

Excuse me for the double post, but there's a rumor going on that Nintendo PROMISED to make Mario Party 9 if Wii Party fails in sales.
